Open Question: I poop out tons of little balls.. worried?

Whenever I go #2 it comes out in ball like form, instead of a long "log" shape. This has been happening over the past 6 months. I thought it was an issue with fiber so I load up on oatmeal, fiber pills and fruits daily. I eat really healthy food daily. I would say they are marble or golf ball in size… but are never joined together in a log like form. I had a builder add a mud room off of my kitchen. I ordered the same floor tile that I have in my kitchen--the idea was to make the mud room a seamless extension. There is no door between the 2 rooms--just a nice open walkway with a skylight. The builder informs me that the add on has a different floor height, and he wants me to let him put in a marble (or other similar) transition/threshold piece. I hate the idea--I think of that as a transition between, say, a hallway and a bathroom. But what other options do I have? He isn't giving me any--I suspect because other options would be a pain. He says we can't raise the new floor because it would make an existing stairway out of code. Are there any creative options out there? How about other types of thresholds? Or a gradual incline? Any ideas at all are appreciated! The difference in height between the 2 floors is about 3/4 of an inch.
