A successful businessman flew to Vegas for the weekend to gamble. He lost the shirt off his back, and had nothing left but a quarter and the second half of his round-trip ticket — If he could just get to the airport he could get himself home. One year later the businessman, having worked long and hard to regain his financial success, returned to Vegas and this time he won big. Feeling pretty good about himself, he went out to the front of the casino to get a cab ride back to the airport. Well who should he see out there, at the end of a long line of cabs, but his old buddy who had refused to give him a ride when he was down on his luck. The businessman thought for a moment about how he could make the guy pay for his lack of charity, and he hit on a plan. The businessman got in the first cab in the line, “How much for a ride to the airport,” he asked? “Fifteen bucks,” came the reply. “And how much for you to give me some oral on the way?” “What?! Get the hell out of my cab.” The businessman got into the back of each cab in the long line and asked the same questions, with the same result. my son is usually in daycare all day and i pick him up at 330 and he comes home, plays, eats, plays some more, bath, movie, bed. i just recently lost my job so i had to take him out of daycare and i watch him myself now. i know it sounds awful but i don't know what to do with him all day!! i can't really go out and drive around or go to a park and walk with him (plus it's cold), because i have about 50 bucks to last me in gas for the month.... it's just me taking care of him. he wants me to sit in his room with him while he plays all the time. i can't do anything i need to do during the day - including putting in applications online. i tried sitting in his room on my laptop but he wants to bang the buttons. i know he's just trying to play, but how do i get things done besides nap time?? he's 13 months old. very picky. he usually doesn't want me to play with him, just be in sight. my living room isn't quite baby proof (it's SAFE, i just have books and stuff that he tends to rip apart) because he usually just plays in his room... but he gets bored with that during the day. i don't know. it just seems like i have a lot to do, and now that i'm not working it seems like i have LESS time to do it in. any suggestions on how to keep him entertained? thanks for everyone's answers so far!! it sucks because i don't have a relief time when the dad comes home - he hasn't been in the picture for 6 months. so it's just me. which makes things a little more complicated. i HAVE to get things done or nothing gets accomplished. all good advice so far. even the "sitting on answers all day" thing. made me laugh!

At the time of her passing, she had between $100,000-$200,000 in CD's and accounts. •She left a detailed will, gifting her children, grandchildren and nieces. •My sister and Grandma enjoyed a special relationship. While all of us grandchildren were close with her, my sister contacted her more than anyone. •My sister has not had a typical job in over a decade. She does freelance web design here and there, with lofty goals to sell a movie script to Hollywood. She says that she can’t take a “normal job” because she has to market her script during business hours to Hollywood agents etc. •In the last five years, she has lived with me for approx. 2, rent free. She has also lived with and various boyfriends and friends etc. also rent free. The whole while, dragging my niece around with her. She is very intelligent, and pretty. •My sister, on occasion, would borrow money from family etc. I.e. She has never completely independent but I would in no way consider her a "basement dweller in her mothers home." •At the time of my Grandmothers passing, Grandma’s children were estranged from her for several years. While they were young, there was sexual abuse in the home. Grandma was in denial and it was more than my mother and her siblings could tolerate towards the end. However, prior to the last several years, there was a close bond between Grandma and her 3-children. My sister is aware of the dynamics. •My Grandmother lived in the state of Washington. In Washington, you can avoid assets entering probate if you leave them in "paid upon death" type of accounts. Upon death, a loved one or executor of the will can simply provide the bank a copy of the death certificate and walk out with the cash. •My Grandmother left her only assets, the paid upon death accounts, in my sisters name. My sister is the executor of the will. My sister is now claiming ALL of this money as hers and that Grandma, who is an excessively frugal woman, simply paid the legal fees to draft up a detailed will to leave her loved ones specific percentages of...nothing. •My sister was also the power of attorney after Grandma's stroke, so it would make sense to the financial accounts were P.O.D. to her to avoid probate and carry out the intent of the will. •The family is horrified that my sister could actually believe that ALL assets were to go to her and the written will is a worthless piece of paper, gifting family member’s specific percentages of nothing. •My sister contends that if Grandma did not want her to have all of the money, she would not have made the accounts payable on death to her. Furthermore, initially, my sister was going to give my brother and me "a few bucks" and nothing to my/her wheel chair bound mother and aunt (let alone the cousins and nieces notated in the will). Are we being blind or is this morally theft? Open Question: My horse riding - anxiety or just paranoid? Experienced help would be very much appreciated.?

I had a bad fall which resulted in a broken shoulder a year back, and now I have changed stables. The horses I ride are angels and do what I ask (most of the time!) The problem: before i go riding I feel sick with nerves yet I have nothing to worry about. When I ask for canter, I tense up and it results in a very uncontrolled too-fast trot. When I ride on the roads, visions of cars hitting us go through my head and I'm always frightened that something will send my horse bolting and bucking with me. When I jump, on the approach and close to take off, my mind is full of things like 'what if he stops and I come off?' and more commonly 'oh my god what if he jumps way to high and lands heavily?' I just can't relax any more but horses are my life. Please help me sort this out, it will be very much appreciated.

Open Question: What are the variables to watch for when buying a new power supply/converter?

How universal are these actually? Say I have a 4-5 year old tower, yes I know buying parts for it is a bit redundant at this stage in the game. but I am planning on buying one in a year or so, and I am 99.9% that the power supply is fried. So yay, for cheap parts, i guess a new one is only 20-30 bucks. But are they all the same? Sorry ... I meant I am buying a new tower sometime this to next year. Thanks, largely I need video card speed, more speed I should say. I am maxed out as well. I am largely planning on flipping it when I get my new tower, so I need it to be dedicated ... to a point. Either way, I am at the absolutes for the generations of hardware I own, sadly. Aside from having no PCI Express port, I am quite happy, well until my power stopped turning on that is. But I was planning on selling it in a year to a friend of mine anyway. Cheaply, some 1/4 of what I paid new, but such is the life of a computer.

Open Question: Small Claims Court, cell phone bill?

I don't not have a good enough credit score for a regular cell phone plan, so I get stuck with pre-pay. They keep saying im out of money a day after I put 25 bucks on, they claim 5 cents a minute, but I get charged 10 They claim 10 cents a text, I get charged 20 cents. Also sometimes 10 whole dollars our more will just vanish I hold my phone on my person at all times, I very rarely use it, but it still depletes. I can prove all of this with my bills, what should I do? Only like 200 bucks or so, but still I know i didn't use those minutes or texts and have proof, maybe i can convince their customer service to do something. I graduated a year ago and started working shortly thereafter as well as meeting my current boyfriend. I do not make that much money. I moved out of my parents house in Sept. creating a long commute to work. From this I accumilated some moving violations which have cost me buco bucks and really set me back! As the holidays approached, I was really stressed being strapped for cash(still am) so I asked the people I was exchanging gifts with(my three brothers, parents, and boyfriend) if we could pass this year. My parents would never leave me out and bought me gifts but to my surprise, my brothers each bought me something. Even my little brother who is in college and doesn't work bought me a gift. From this, I figured my boyfriend, whom I have been with for a year, whom is 9 years my senior, likes me more then my brothers do, so he probably bought me something anyway. He makes a decent amount and has a sizeable nest egg. I had recieved unexpected money as a gift for Christmas so before I returned home after Christmas, I went and bought something for my boyfriend. I hated skipping our first Christmas and I wanted to do something nice. I finally saw him on the 27th and gave him his presents. He looked at me and said he thought we werent exchanging. I told him i had gotten some money for christmas. I wasnt expecting anything in return that day, but i thought he would return the gesture in the next few days since he had off. Well its been over a week and nothing. Please don't interpret this as materialistic because I don't expect him to buy me things, but I am hurt by this. This isnt the first offense. We were seeing each other for 8 months and my birthday was coming up but I wouldnt remind him of the actual date. He flat out told me don't worry im not getting you anything. I told him I wasn't telling him because I didnt want him to forget(my assumptions because good friends have in the past). I disregarded this because we weren't exclusive and he did join me and my friends when I went out to celebrate. Why doesn't he want to buy me something? My brothers, who aren't as old or as well off as him right now, got me something to show me they care and they understood my financial issues right now. I totally appreciated him respecting my request not to exchange, but now that I have given him something, still nothing? I also have come to the conclusion that he is weird when it comes to money. Money comes before people and he only is comfortable spending it on himself. He is very particular and really didnt seem to enjoy buying gifts for his family. I mean, a old professor of his who now lives across the country bought him coffee(he loves his coffee) and got it to him, but all he plans to to is email her in return. So how do I talk about this? Or should I just get over it and embrace the spirit of the season of giving? Everything else about him is great, no complaints, and I would really like to work this out but its such an awkward topic. (FACT) Bad Call, but they happen, and from that vantage it did look helmet to helmet, and the actual hit was only apparent upon replay from a DIFFERENT angle. Plus the same player had already made 1 Helmet to Helmet hit on McCoy meaning he was under closer scrutiny already. It happens. 2)The second call was that on the 4 and 3 for texas..he didn't get the first down. He was down before the actual line for the first down. The ball never crossed the marker. So really Texas was favored in this game. All I can say is that It will be the Buckeyes and Longhorns for the championship next year. Only next time we are gonna kill the longhorns. (FACT) the replays CLEARLY show his foot and the ball breaking the plane at the 40 yd line, before his forward progress was impeded. 4 years, 3 vacuums. Hundreds of dollars down the drain. I need a vacuum that works people please help me. I had a bissle POS that cost like 100 bucks. A cheapy Eureka, and then a year ago I bought a DD Reaction for almost 200. Just cranked on me. WTF?! Someone suggested to skip bagless, go back to Old School n get a bagged vac, like an upright, a older Hoover. Anyone with any good advice? or ANY advice would be great, thanks. Well all vacs I've had. 2 of 4 ppl in the house have very long hair, so I have to clean the brush head often because the hair affects it's spinning if I don't. I have the second trimester blues lol...so close, so far. I want to be distracted so the time goes by faster. How did you 8-9 monthers pass your time? My little girl is 3 1/2 months, and has started to suck her thumb a lot (she is teething too so i think this is part of the reason) She is exclusively breastfed which i know makes babies more 'sucky' Heres the thing...She wants to suck her thumb, but im worried because i know this will be a very tough habit to break later on, and I dont want it to affect her teeth. I have asked my health visitors opinion but get very mixed answers, they tell you not togivce a baby a dummy for several reasons, but have also told me she shouldnt suck her thumb because she might get bucked teeth. what do you think? Can i also ask those of you who give dummys, do you have to get up in the night a lot when baby has spat it out and wants it back? This is one reason i was told not to use one.

yo couple weeks back i went to a fight nite mma a tournyment after forkin out 65 bucks when we were told it was 25 bucks seat anywayz the orginizingz the tournyment his mane iz ZAYA his from MMA VILLAWOOD NSW anywayz the guy honest to god put his so called skool of fighterz up in the ring all the villawood boys got smashed by the other fighters well to be legit i saw 2 guys from MMA VILLAWOOD that has potential one iz the big leb guy his fight was good at the start what can you say bros the guy he haz no training da 2nd fight waz another big guy cem uno somethingz like that anywayz this fakka had big ballz stepin in the ring againts a 6 foot monster short burst of blows was exchanged but cem uno pulled out cause i dont no he should have stayed in i reckon there was more there under the bonnet and every other fighter from MMA VILLAWOOD got terminated honest to god anywayz about ova a month now i heard the MMA VILLAWOOD nsw boys only had 1 week and half of training for this fight and the other guys has about well 4 yrs fight expriance and 4 months none stop hardcore training then to top it off MMA VILLAWOOD HEAD INSTRUCTOR ZAYA ZAYA actully paid the other fighters money and medalz in a party he even and his bitcj JENNY had a photo taken with the other fighters with hugs and tugs. when i heard this i was at my lakemba home drinking it up i said ZAYA faked there fighters ova big time bros he should int be there teaching i really felt for the VILLAWOOD fighters that was un fakkin fair puttin ya boys up witch only have about one year fight experiance againts semi pro and expert fighterz MY QUESTION IZ DO YOU THINK WHAT ZAYA ZAYA AND JENNY DID IZ RIGHT DO YOU THINK THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO SHOW THERE FACE TO THERE OWN FIGHTERS SHOULD THE VIILLAWOOD FIGHTERS GO ELSE WERE ALL MMA VILLAWOOD FIGHTERS SHOULD GET MEDALS FORBEING BRAVE FAKKAS CHECK THIS OUT I FOUND THEM go to myspace.com and type in mix martial arts theres a numba on there if any one wants to vote out or simply juz say u bad fakkas by all meanz go ahead

Open Question: Why is my first t-mobile bill so high and I have unlimited everything?

Ok so I have unlimited texting, unlimited nights and weekends, unlimited whenever minutes, basically unlimited everything to whoever i or my bf calls. I also got unlimited internet for an extra 25 bucks a month so all in all my bill is $175. and i found out just now that my bill is 256 dollars?!?! wth. Open Question: Overheating which is causing my Blue Screen?

I know i posted a question like an hour ago but I think my reason is form overheating and not from corrupted files or something. It seems that my laptop (HP Pavilion dv2000) is overheating because the hard drive is on the table before the leg things touch.
